Nadia

Nadia

NADIA – YOGA INSTRUCTOR Nadia  has been practicing and sharing Yoga and the Nia Technique since 1994. She was introduced to yoga after suffering from mono and stress at 21 while getting her Bachelors of Fine arts at the University of Texas, and recovered quickly using the yoga asana and breathing practices. After her first yoga teaching mentorship in East Texas, she was introduced to Nia and conscious healing dance. At that point she recognized this was a way of life and began to share those benefits of conscious yoga and dance practices with those who craved deeper personal healing.

She has trained with world class movement pioneers in the Body–Mind wellness field, Debbie Rosas and Carlos Rosas, in Portland Oregon to become a certified third level Nia Technique instructor. Along with a 2 year Yoga teacher training program she has participated in a yearlong Tai Chi and Chi Gong mentorship with Sufi Stan Rossi in Austin, Texas, and studied Trance, Modern, and Ballet dance. She has brought Nia to numerous dance studios, The Lake Austin Spa and Resort, The Omega Institute at the Crossings in Texas, many fitness gyms including Gold’s Gym, Premier Lady Fitness, and Body Business, and has been a special presenter at several Mind-Body Expos in Texas and Oahu, at weddings, private Women’s retreats, and for Middle School Brownie troupes and in middle school dance classes for girls.

She has now been teaching yoga and Nia for 12 years, and feels that Nia and Yoga are like the Fountain of Yout.  She is very grateful to share these practices with anyone who is passionate about consciously changing their body and life.
